Joye Law Firm Announces Scholarship Winners

Joye Law Firm recently awarded four graduating seniors from area high schools with $2,500 scholarships to assist them with college expenses. The professionals at Joye Law Firm wish to congratulate this year's recipients: Amanda Fox of Hanahan High School, Samantha Dorsey of Goose Creek High School; Nicholas Cleveland of Summerville High School, and Synetria Jones of Summerville High School.

“We are pleased to recognize these fine students for their academic achievements and community service,” said Ken W. Harrell, Managing Partner at Joye Law Firm. “These students exemplify hard work and dedication, and we know their futures will continue to be bright and full of success.”

Selection of the recipients was based on an application process—which included requests for information about each candidate's school activities, positions of leadership, special honors and awards, community involvement, academic performance, and academic and professional pursuits. In addition, each candidate was asked to write a short essay addressing the topic of underage drinking and driving prevention, explaining how to positively influence their friends not to drive under the influence of alcohol. Upon selection, candidates were personally presented with their awards followed by a dinner hosted by Joye Law Firm attorneys and attended by the scholarship recipients and their families.
